A couple of weekends ago Brandon's parents came down to visit. We have a season pass at Zions and any time someone comes down is a perfect excuse to use it. But then the weather decided to turn winter on us, and Breah was coughing all night so we almost didn't go. Well, Saturday morning we got up and decided if nothing else we could use our B1B1 breakfast coupons and go for a scenic drive. It was beautiful and I'm glad we went. The snow was so fresh and clean and the contrast on the red rock was just so pretty. Here are just a few of the pics.
We've never been on this trail, every time we try it's completely packed so we thought for sure this would be our day. Upon arrival, I decided it probably wasn't the best idea with a toddler and a prego belly. I'm such a party pooper anymore. At least we found parking and were able to take our picture in front of it!
Breah was a little nervous about the tunnels at first, but then she realized that we were in a tunnel just like Thomas, and then she couldn't get enough. Now when we play trains she talks about going in a big tunnel in G & G's car on a mountain. We were practically the only people in the park that day, so it wasn't like Grandma was going on a suicide mission, although it does appear so.
Again, Breah was a little unsure of the snow, but with Grandma's help she eventually warmed up to the idea (at Christmas she wouldn't even step in it). They had fun building a little snow man and then squashing him to the ground. And before long she was even touching the snow with her fingers!Look how far she's come, not only is she touching the snow, she's holding it and having fun and throwing it!
We did get to take a little walk through the snow and meet these handsome little snow people. Breah thought they were pretty neat, and just her size.
