Memorial Day Fun

Breah and Dad standing in the cool treeThis is Jamin, and this is also the last pic taken on the adventure...so sad!

I haven't been much of a blogger lately but I thought it was time to post some new pictures...without bugs. We decided to stay home for Memorial Day this year since we were just up with the fam a couple weeks ago, and while we missed out on all the memorial day festivities, we had a good time here with our own little family. We spent Saturday cleaning and hanging shelves in our garage. It may not sound like much fun but we always enjoy a trip to Lowe's and the shelf looks/works great! Monday we went with hiking with some friends, the Gonzales's, at Red Cliffs. It was fun, and pretty, and at the top there are these little pools that we let the kids play in--despite the overcrowding and disgustingly murky water, but part way into our hike my camera died! I never even thought to charge it, I was so mad! And to top it off, after our hike we set out to have lunch and our cooler was nowhere to be found! I forgot it! The yummy bagel sandwiches and apples, etc that I packed were home sitting on the counter. But, the Gonzales had extra, and were so kind to share, so we didn't starve. Later that evening we had the Gonzales's and Ernests over for a bbq and a dip in our fancy new pool. All in all it was a fun weekend, at least I'm always able to make things interesting with my forgetfullness! Breah, sinking her teeth into an ice cream sandwichWe had the girls in their swimming suits, but they were done swimming, so we got them back into their clothes. But as soon as they were dressed, Breah and Jada were back in the little pool, and then once the boys were out of the big pool they were climbing into that one. It wasn't long before they were stripped down to just their diapersBreah and Bella trying to get into the pool now that it is nice and quiet (Breah refuses to be in the pool with anyone bigger than herself well, except for mom and dad).

She's quite content now that she's got the whole thing all to herself. Don't get me wrong, she loves to share and she loves her friends, but when the day is over, she's still and only child. She was so cute in the crab, she totally thought she was floating and was just as happy as could be.
